“Art fits everywhere”
These are words of Ramon Moscardó, the artist that Garcia de Pou has chosen this year to create the cover of the new catalogue. Every year we select a well-known artist for making art fitting in everywhere, even in the cover of our catalog. Mariscal, Manel Anoro, Forges, Pitxot, Vives Fierro and Leonard Beard have already done their bit in helping this mission.
Spring time
We have already spent some long months under shelter, inside the buildings, so we all need to feel the sun on our skin and to stay outside as long as possible. Weekends from now on are busy with fairs, events, festivals, outdoor markets, food trucks. Many routes and trails are now open again for walkers, bikers, horseriders… In short: we need to go out!
What are the ingredients for a company to survive 132 years and still grow and expand?
Ingredient num. 1: the entrepreneur spirit
The company Garcia de Pou was created in 1884 when Luis Garcia resigned from his position as chief of the railway station of Figueres to take charge of a small printing business, together with his wife Francisca de Pou. In this formerly small business was materialized the entrepreneur spirit of the family Garcia de Pou, which has been transmitted for five generations and is still alive today.
