Garcia de Pou triumphs at the 2024 Ecommerce awards as Best B2B Ecommerce

2024 has been a key year for electronic commerce and the Ecommerce awards are a good example of this. These awards, which have become the main benchmark for the sector in Spain, had a record participation this year, with more than 200 projects and 500 applications presented, an increase of 40% compared to the 2023 edition. The competition has been fierce since both traditional brands and digital native companies are now more than ever counting on the digitalization of their operations.

Francesco Bongiorni (b.Milan 1984) confesses that when we contacted him for the first time and showed him the collection of covers that leading artists have made over the years for Garcia De Pou, he felt a little weak at the knees. Working on a project in which artists ‘of such calibre’ have participated, he says ‘has been an honour and a pleasure’. But the truth is that this Italian illustrator who now lives in Madrid already has a career on par with the greatest: Winner of many international prizes, including a gold medal from the New York Society of illustrators, he contributes regularly to The New York Times, The Guardian, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and Le Monde. And he has become the latest illustrator to appear on the cover of the new Garcia de Pou Christmas catalogue 2024/25.

We spoke to Jorge Arévalo, author of the cover of the García de Pou Catalogue 2023

Jorge Arévalo (Madrid, 1968) is one of the most recognised and recognisable illustrators in the world. Known for his work in prestigious publications such as The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Rolling Stone and Esquire, among many others. And acknowledged for his style, with a minimalist stroke, pop colours and a unique ability to portray characters and create atmospheres.

Garcia de Pou invests in the Planet

One of the planet’s most biodiverse green lungs, Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, has been threatened in recent years by deforestation. That is why the NGO WeForest decided in 2014 to launch a project to tackle the problem in some critical points of this tropical forest, with the aim of restoring and recovering the area’s wildlife, as well as helping local communities to earn a living from this recovery work. At Garcia de Pou we are collaborating in this project, aware of our social and environmental responsibility.

We are committed to green energy

At Garcia de Pou we have inaugurated a new network of solar panels on the roof of our facilities in 2023. A structure made up of 2,606 panels, which have the capacity to generate 1.7 GWh per year and to satisfy a large part of the energy demand used in the company’s industrial process. Garcia de Pou’s objective with this installation is to achieve energy self-sufficiency, as well as contributing to the reduction of its carbon footprint.
