Did you know that a lot of our products display the environmental label from the European Union? In order to respond to the increasing social demand for environmentally friendly products, the firm Garcia de Pou has decided to apply for this credible logo.
The EU Ecolabel is an official system, which was launched in 1992 by the European Commission in light of developing a Europe-wide voluntary environmental labelling scheme that consumers could trust. To be awarded the EU Ecolabel, products must comply with a tough set of criteria. These ecological criteria are developed and revised in a transparent way by a group of independent experts and stakeholders. For further information about the EU Ecolabel, visit www.ecolabel.eu.
Among all the Garcia de Pou EU Ecolabel products, today we would like to highlight some models of napkins in white and color, as well as the range of cellulose Ecowhite®.
The white napkins I-One® have a single layer, but of so high weight that they are equivalent to the conventional two layers. In its manufacturing process the I-One® employ only 2.5 m³/TM water consumption; they show a smaller trace of CO² ( 27%) besides a reduction in the energy consumption (-62%). The I-One® napkins can be customized with the logo of the client by using compostable inks.
The coloured two-ply napkins —the pastel colors as well as the intense tones— comply with a tough set of environmental criteria, beyond the set required by the current regulations. These napkins are available in 26 different colors in 39×39 cm size. Double Point® color napkins and Quattro 4® bear the EU Ecolabel too.
The toilet paper Ecowhite® in all its versions —Maxi jumbo (Ø ext. 26 cm), Baby jumbo (Ø ext. 19.5 cm) and semi industrial (Ø ext. 12.5 cm)— is another article eco-efficient. Industrial cellulose and the hand towels Mini Barrel and Maxi barrel complete the series Ecowhite®.
Garcia de Pou has joined up this reliable scheme because of EU Ecolabel’s competitive edge and commitment to environmental sustainability. We are improving our production systems to make them more sustainable in our journey toward business excellence.
